Kanye West Closed The Billboard Music Awards, But Haters (ABC) Wouldn't Let You Hear His Performance

ABC was pretty adamant that nothing more than PG made it to the airwaves during Kanye West’s show-closing performance at the Billboard Music Awards last night. In fact, they were so adamant about it they censored a huge chunk of West’s set.

Dr. West played All Day, from his upcoming album, followed by Black Skinhead, off of his album, Yeezus. While he performed in front of a fiery inferno, his audio was cut for long stretches of silence throughout the entire performance. Of course, All Day does have words that need to be censor, but West did a fine job removing them from the track himself.

Did Kanye go off script? Or was some censor-happy editor just nervous by the possibility? Out of his 5:20, a full minute and 20 seconds of it was censored. We can’t wait to hear what Kanye has to say about this, because even if he did go off script, you know it was something that needed to be said.

Reports say that his mic wasn’t working, but how does that explain all his music going out?
